Housing Choice Voucher
The Housing Choice Voucher Program is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market.

HUD VASH Program
The Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Veterans Affairs Supported Housing (HUD-VASH) Program, provides long-term case management, supportive services and permanent housing support for homeless Veterans.

Public Housing (LIPH)

The Asset Management Department is comprised of the Public Housing (LIPH) Program. The Lansing Housing Commission public housing staff is responsible for the day to day operation and asset management of over 800 dwelling units in the City of Lansing.

Shelter Plus Care
The Shelter Plus Care Program provides rental assistance for hard-to-serve homeless persons with disabilities in connection with supportive services funded from sources outside the program.

Family Self Sufficiency
Family self-sufficiency (FSS) is a HUD program that encourages households to work with their Housing Choice Voucher Staff to develop strategies to become economically self-sufficient. Communities resources provide local strategies to help voucher families obtain employment that will lead to economic independence and self-sufficiency.
