LHC continues to invest in upgrading our properties as we are nearing the completion of our RAD conversion at LeRoy Froh and our $1 million investment in the renovation of our Forest Road property. The total investment in renovations including ADA compliance, security improvements and the addition of new amenities like central air conditioning now exceeds over $6o million since 2019. The renovations have improved over 550 units of affordable housing in the city of Lansing over this period. We very much appreciate your patience and understanding during the process as major changes can be inconvenient and challenging at times. We hope you are enjoying the new amenities and updated units.
As some of you might of read, we are not done with our impact on the quality and quantity of affordable housing in the city. LHC was recently awarded federal tax credits that will allow us to invest $22.5 million to build 60+ 2- and 3-bedroom units in downtown Lansing called Riverview 220. This is the first of its kind project here in Lansing that will combine affordable units with market rate units and have some retail/commercial space also included in the design.
